Pre-requisite: Registered Queensland Apprentice Chef

Our apprentices work at the some of the top 10 restaurants in Brisbane and are some of the best talents in the industry. Our teachers are current, modern, up to date, enthusiastic and very motivated about teaching and mentoring our students to become the very best chefs they can be. ICE welcomes any apprentice from any walk of life or any restaurant, cafe or food establishment in Brisbane and SE Queensland and we guarantee to teach you everything we know. We are lucky enough to have industry chefs like Chef Josue Lopez (Qld Chef of the Year 2016), Ben Williamson (Qld Chef of the Year 2017) and others such as Javier Codina (Moda), Alejandro Cancino (former Executive Chef of Urbane, Brisbane’s highest ranking restaurant) and TV personalities such as Clayton Donovan (ABCs Wild Kitchen) and a whole host of other well known and highly regarded chefs performing guest demonstrations at ICE, which our students absolutely love. We take all our apprentices out on excursions as part of our theory program and these include: Micro herb farms, Rocklea Markets, Gotzinger Small Goods, Raptis Factory and Fish Auction, Australian Country Meats Abbatoir and Meat Processing Factory, Warrigal Road Farms, Fino Foods, Maleny Dairy and many others throughout the course. Our classes are relaxed, fun and inspirational and everyone at ICE goes above and beyond to help, advise and encourage all our students to succeed. ICE is like one big family and we’d love to have you….

Application Process

1. Selecting ICE as the SRTO through your Australian Apprenticeship Centre (ie Busy at Work).

 

2. Completing the enrolment form

• Pre-requisite: Registered Queensland Apprentice Chef

 

• Must be a registered QLD apprentice chef with a training contract in place with Department of Training
