Kitchen Management – Qualified Chefs

A wonderful course for anyone wishing to progress in their career and become a knowlegeable and respected manager of a busy kitchen, restaurant, cafe, hotel or other hospitality business both in Australia and overseas. This course is open to qualified chefs and hospitality or front of house superstars who are currently employed and wishing to study higher education in the area of Hospitality Management. This could be for career advancement to management and supervisory roles, job promotion to Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef or in preparation for opening your own food business. ICE offers two streams for this program: Chef Management (Back of House/BOH) or Front of House Management (Front of House FOH).

An ICE workplace assessor will visit you in your workplace and discuss with you how this program is best suited to you, as every individual is different. An individualised training plan (with a choice of electives either BOH or FOH) will be developed before you start studying. It is expected that this course will take 6 months to 1 year (studied part time at your own pace). See course outline for core subjects and choice of electives.
